This is so timely for me. As my kids grow and their friends' parents are no longer necessarily my friends, my group of friends has changed a lot. And it feels like it's gotten smaller. Your opening line about not being able to meet up with friends for lunch rang really true. SO, I have done a couple of things to try to grow new friendships. One - I reached out to a local alumni organization from my college (I no longer live anywhere near my college). Turns out, they host monthly social gatherings. Two - I started asking myself what it is I like doing, and have started to search for groups in my area that do those things, cycling, hiking, etc. It's definitely an experiment and I feel like this will be the new normal for me to meet new people. An adventure, for sure! Wish me luck!

Good luck! I should try finding an alumni group near me. Great idea!
