Do you ever want to burn it all to the ground and start over?
I was feeling this way today, so I recorded a video to talk about it this morning.
I’m feeling that familiar “10-year itch.”
Conquering a challenge can create restlessness.
I know many other people don’t operate this way (am I weird?).
Do you ever sense when your current “ride” is coming to an end?
However, feeling this impulse doesn’t mean you have to be reckless about it.
Reinventing yourself doesn’t have to feel like a crisis. I think it’s a normal recurring cycle (in my case, every 10 years). You start to recognize when your current path has run its course. You realize you have extracted as much value as you can from it, and you know you’re no longer growing or feeling excited about it.
It takes courage to recognize when this happens and create a plan to pursue the next phase of your life (sometimes before you are forced to!). If you don’t, you may start feeling trapped, frustrated, and miserable. I’ve been there before, and many of my coaching clients have been there, too.
If you embrace this feeling and create a plan first, it doesn’t have to feel like a moment of panic and chaos.
It can become your next exciting adventure!
If you’re feeling this way too, you can schedule a free call with me to chat about it and the plans you are considering.
