Thank you for this plan I am sharing this with a few friends. We are in the process of a few things, generator, cash on hand, documents stored in fire protected safe, one passport new, one passport have two years, tried to renew, would not let me because it is not close enough to expiration date. Loading up my pantry best I can. Need to freeze credit reporting agencies. Problem - our main source of income comes from our retirement account through our financial planner. The other source is SS. Both of those avenues are fixed in place so my only source of income is what ever cash is on hand. Not sure how to alter that, it gives me much concern. I appreciate the “plan” but I can’t close up all the “cracks” if things get really bad. Plus, still have many friends and family that think I am crazy, even though they see what is happening. My dad WWII vet, 20 years Army (RIP Sarge), I know what happened back then, I grew up with the knowledge but younger generations are not looking to the history books, just getting sound bites from tainted cable news. They can’t tolerate the doomsday conversation.
I'm glad you're taking steps. It's hard to do it all, but some preparation is better than none. We hope it doesn't come to this scary outcome. But it sure has before, as history teaches us.
