The weekend weather almost ruined our plans to hike.
It was cold and rainy on Saturday and Sunday. But I really wanted to get out into nature to recharge my batteries after a stressful week of work and the news. So, we grabbed our rain gear and went, anyway!

Do you know what was great about doing the hike, even though the weather wasn’t perfect and we couldn’t time it with a sunny day? We mostly had the trail to ourselves!
Also, about two hours into the hike, the weather cleared up anyway. We would have missed a beautiful day outside if we had stayed home.
If you wait for the perfect time to take action, you may never do so. For example:
Starting a newsletter and building your email list
People always wait until they feel like they have something worthwhile to say. Guess what? That day never comes.
Beginning an exercise program
People want to wait until they feel physically ready to start working out. Hint: you will never feel that ready.
Having children
People want to wait until they have enough money to start a family. Guess what? I don’t think anyone feels like they ever have enough money.
Launching your own business
People want to wait until it’s the perfect time to quit their job. Then, one day, they realize they’ve waited too long and will never launch their business.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not suggesting you should foolishly rush headlong into things without planning and preparation. Yes, timing matters, to some extent.
However, we would never do anything if we waited until we felt 100% ready and 100% certain we would succeed.
At some point, you have to be bold and take a leap of faith.
“You’ve got to jump off the cliff all the time and build your wings on the way down.”
— Ray Bradbury
